Hi, I’m Gemma Arnold (Gem). Doggy Donders is my business and it will be me looking after your pets.
I have always had a passion for animals, and pets have been a big part of my life, from my first hamster as a child, family cats and dogs, through to Daisy the golden retriever and Jack & Sawyer the cats who share my home today.
I grew up in South Queensferry and have good local knowledge.
I studied HND Animal Care in Scotland and Wales and I've worked in both kennels and catteries. I hold an Emergency Canine First Aid certificate. I have also attended many courses with IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) resulting in certificates in -

- Canine Aggression and Rehabilitation
- Career as a Dog Trainer
The Dog Trainer course is still ongoing and once completed it will allow me to officially register as a fully qualified behaviourist.

Running Doggy Donders has given me the chance to fulfil my dream of working closely with animals on a daily basis in their own environment.
I launched Doggy Donders in 2013 when I lived in Linlithgow and looked after dogs all across West Lothian, before moving house to Edinburgh in 2022 and relaunching my business in the city.
Knowing how hard it is to trust your pet with someone else, I believe I have the qualities needed to ensure you can have the peace of mind to leave your family pet with a friendly, trustworthy and loving carer.
I have full insurance with Petplan, I'm registered as a Professional Dog Walker with the City of Edinburgh Council and I am Disclosure Scotland checked.
